This update to OpenMPT 1.29 is mostly a bugfix release, but also adds some new keyboard shortcuts and improves existing features. Here are the most important changes:

• Added keyboard shortcuts for increasing and decreasing tempo and ticks per row of currently playing module.
• Launching OpenMPT could take longer than it should depending on the current working directory, e.g. when opening modules from the task bar's jump list.
• In the General Tab, the tempo slider handle was shown in the wrong position for tempos close to 1000 BPM.
• Interpolating the volume column between a cell with a Set Volume command and a cell with no volume command but a note and instrument is now possible (it uses the default volume of that sample for interpolation).
• Duplicating / adding / removing a channel, undoing and then redoing it caused the contents of the last channel to be lost.
• "Maintain sample sync on mute" was only enforced after manually muting a channel, and e.g. by restarting playback broke it again.

PraxisLIVE v5.2.0 adds support for components to share common, rewritable code (within one graph). The IDE adds an
action for embedding the runtime inside a project for standalone running. And there's the usual range of small

No post last month because it was a bad calendar since I was working away from home. So we go back to the January monthly report post, in which I had planned to finalize several updates and specifically work on making it easier to use LibraZiK with KDE (another desktop environment than MATE recommended/provided by default). The planned updates have been done, as well as others not initially planned, and a new set of plugins has arrived in LibraZiK.

• In fixing issue #81 a regression was introduced in version 15, which caused channel volume levels to not be restored when loading a project XML file.

• The Channel.autoset_*_midi_cc methods in the Cython extension module didn't return the int result from the C functions they call, causing mis-leading debug log messages.

Project infrastructure and internals:

• A wiki was added to the jack_mixer GitHub project and a page with instructions on how to install from source on debian / Ubuntu.

• The dependencies for building a Python wheel via pip were updated.

• When building from a Git checkout, the cython program is also found when it is installed as cython3.

This small update to OpenMPT 1.29 is mostly a bugfix release, but also adds some new keyboard shortcuts and improves existing features. Here are the most important changes:

• Added keyboard shortcuts for adding and removing channels.
• Splitting a stereo sample into two mono samples wastes less memory.
• On some systems, the OPL patch editor caused keyboard shortcuts to stop working.
• When activating the comments tab, the keyboard focus is set to the text editor to improve accessibility.
• Some samples or OPL patches were imported with a too high sample rate in S3Ms saved with Scream Tracker 3.
• Only force to rescan MIDI devices after receiving a device change notification from the system. Might fix a crash with buggy MIDI drivers.
